Questmark awarded framework for health

Posted on

Questmark has been awarded a two year framework agreement by Buying Solutions for the supply of telecare, telehealth and telecoaching products and services, including the supply of videoconferencing systems. Buying Solutions’ framework agreements allow purchasers in the public sector to obtain value for money whilst complying with UK and EU Legislation.

The evaluation criteria used in each competition are designed to award framework agreements to suppliers submitting the Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT), taking into account price, quality, capacity and track record. Using framework agreements saves time and money for public sector customers and ensures that terms and conditions of their contract are robust and comply with best practice. The Telecare framework agreement consists of six lots covering the provision of telecare, telehealth and telecoaching services and products; Questmark have qualified for all six.

The framework agreement will assist the NHS in reducing costs while improving patient care through high-quality, value-for-money products and services.

“Videoconferencing has proven its cost-saving benefits for the NHS whether for management or clinical applications,” says Questmark’s chief executive, Sam McMaster. “With the increased emphasis on telecare our experience in providing equipment and managed services for these applications has been the major reason for our success with this framework agreement.”

For the Clark Clinic of the Belfast Children’s Hospital, for example, Questmark pioneered the use of videoconferencing for the monitoring of patients in their homes after heart surgery. Questmark has been responsible for the provision and installation of the systems and telecommunications links in the patients’ homes allowing the clinical teams to concentrate on their medical duties.
