Kulu Valley has launched a new communications tool called a ‘Kulu’ to help businesses communicate more effectively. A Kulu is said to combine professional-quality video messages with graphs, presentations, web links and other documents to provide an exciting new way to communicate with internal and external audiences. With the web-based Kulu platform it’s said to be very quick and easy to create and distribute a Kulu from a desktop PC “There are so many ways of communicating today that people feel bombarded with information from all angles,” said Sumit Rai, CEO and founder of Kulu Valley. “We’ve launched the Kulu because it enables people to cut through the noise and get their message heard, understood and acted on. By combining video with slides, graphics and more, a Kulu is an engaging visual message which communicates ideas and information in a powerful new way.”

Companies like BT, Citywire, Henderson Global Investors and leading banks are already communicating information and ideas with the Kulu platform. “Our solution is already deployed at large corporate and financial institutions because they were the first to recognise the benefits in communicating vital market information quickly, succinctly and with maximum impact,” continued Rai. “But with the mass use of video in the consumer world and the developments in IT infrastructure the rest of the business world can now take advantage, which is why we’ve launched Kulus to the rest of the market.”

BT is using the Kulu platform to communicate with its global banking and financial markets salesforce and customers around the world. “The challenges that I face in communicating with the sales force are that firstly, they’re global, and second I expect them to be in front of the customer not in my office waiting to hear from me,” said Mark D. Weeks, head of retail and wholesale banking at BT Global Services. “Using Kulu Valley to communicate with my salesforce has had an immediate impact. It is a new and different way to get my message across and as a result I know it’s heard, digested and acted upon.”

Because it’s a web-based software-as-a-service platform, it’s quick and easy to get up and running and straightforward to use. You don’t need to be an IT expert to use the system: in just three easy steps users can create, review and publish Kulus straight from their desktop to audiences around the globe. The Kulu platform is quick to use, produces engaging and rich content backed up buy security, workflow and content management to meet a business’ corporate communications requirements.

Using a Kulu i said to work best when a business needs to quickly and simply communicate high-level ideas and information to a number of people in different locations, when time critical information needs to be effectively communicated to as wide an audience as possible and when ideas need to be explained in an engaging and straightforward way. Typical uses for a Kulu include company-wide briefings, sales management training, marketing campaigns to prospects and customers, channel communications and news and market updates to clients.

Henderson Global Investors have been using the Kulu platform to increase the exposure of fund managers to help their clients make better informed investment decisions. “We have much responsibility placed on us to invest our clients’ money wisely and our fund managers have to frequently make informed investment decisions on their behalf. We need a means to express our views openly and Kulu provides a powerful means to communicate with our clients and get information direct from our fund managers faster than our competitors,” said Mark Skinner, Director of European Retail at Henderson Global Investors.

“It is simple to use, taking between five and ten minutes for a fund manager to record a 90 second video and then get it onto our website so that it can be distributed. The response we have had from the marketplace has far exceeded our expectations,” Mark added.
